I love a statement piece. They always add an extra dimension to any outfit, and can especially jazz up an otherwise boring t-shirt and jeans combo. Usually a statement piece for me is bold and bright however currently I am in awe of this one from JCrew. I love the snow like colour and think it would look amazing against my dark, moody, winter wardrobe. The price however has made me consider alternative options. I found this one from Forever New and at only a fraction of the price.
I can’t believe another weekend has come and gone! This weekend Anth and I finally started cleaning out our spare room. Due to an engagement, a wedding and multiple christmas and birthdays our spare room has slowly become to resemble an episode of Hoarders! After numerous trips to our new storage unit, we now have a spare room back and we are very excited to be able to access our linen without having a search party sent in after us. This morning we rewarded our tireless efforts with a lazy Sunday morning sleep in and breakfast in bed. Later we headed to the shops for coffee and some light shopping then back home, where we parked ourselves on the lounge and haven’t moved since – bliss!
As I am in a lazy mood, here is snapshot of my recent happenings, enjoy:
Hope you have all had a great weekend and here is to fantastic week ahead!
I had a great time at The Botanist in Kirribilli on Friday night and not just because of the company – although it was pretty amazing! We arrived for our booking and were promptly shown to our table where the hostess proceed to explain how the menu worked, share food which I personally love as you get to try a bit of everything without looking like a little piggy.
We ordered our first round of cocktails and were delighted not only with their quick arrival but their dazzling appearance and large serving, always a winner in my book.
Once we had quenched our thirst, we ordered food which was quite hard considering I wanted just about everything on the menu! We ended up having the beef sliders, prosciutto pizza, cauliflower fritters and the corn chips with Queso. All were amazing but I have to say the beef sliders were my absolute favourite, I think I could manage a whole serve for myself.
We had a great night and ended the evening with a sing-a-long back to the car, very grown up of us and I do apologise to the lovely residents of Kirribilli who endured my screeching at midnight. I can highly recommend this bar to anyone in the Sydney area as a great place for some casual drinks and yummy food to share with friends or even a date.
As for me, I got to finally debut my new leather pencil skirt which was exciting. Plus I got to wear heels for the first time since my knee surgery (although it came with the condition that I had to wear flats to and from the venue).
I am totally lusting over these Bubble Necklaces from JCrew! They come in so many amazing colours, all perfect for Spring/Summer. Plus they are so versatile; they will finish off any look perfectly! Check them out…
L-R: Turquoise; Neon Azalea; Kelly Green; Brilliant Blue
I love it when you stumble across an old favourite that’s been stashed away just waiting for its chance to become your number one again. Last night I was cleaning out a handbag that I hadn’t used in months when, to my delight, a bottle of lilac coloured greatness rolled across my bedroom floor.
